Dr. Sawyer is a Messianic pastor/theologian and is not qualified to diagnose or treat injury or disease. However, he is constantly involved with product training provided by Nature’s Sunshine Products in addition to his ongoing self-study of numerous aspects of natural health and healing. He is an herbalist, iridologist, electromagnetic therapist, and Certified Natural Health Professional (CNHP), and is a member of the National Association of Certified Natural Health Professionals. He has also completed the required course of study and is entitled to use the NSP designation of “Herb Specialist.” He is currently enrolled in a course of study leading to a Naturopathic Doctor (N.D.) degree.

He has also attended (and continues to regularly attend) several hundred hours of seminars and training annually including, but not limited to, the following areas of natural health: aromatherapy, acupressure, bioenergetics, several forms of bodywork, electromagnetic therapy, Contact Reflex Analysis, herbology (Chinese, Ayurvedic, and Western), iridology, applied kinesiology, naturopathy, nutrition, shiatsu, and therapeutic touch. It is his intent to pass this information on to his family and friends as quickly as he learns it.

Dr. Sawyer  is an ordained Pastor (conservative evangelical), presently serving in a Messianic Jewish ministry, with over 40 years of pastoral experience, a master's degree (Th.M.) in systematic theology, doctorates in theology (Th.D. with an emphasis on cults and comparative religion) and ministry (D.Min. with an emphasis on Bible college administration and curriculum development), a bachelor’s (B.A.) and master's (M.B.A.) degree in business administration, and an associate’s (A.A.) degree in criminal justice.
