Dr. Rickard L Sawyer (ThM, ThD, DMin, MBA, CNHP) is a Messianic Pastor/Theologian, Certified Natural Health Professional, Nature's Sunshine Manager, and Pure Herbs Director, and is currently enrolled in the Naturopathic Doctor program at Trinity College of Natural Health.

In his widely-varied career he has worked as an emergency medical technician (EMT) and has held technical certification in Psychology, Neuropsychiatry, ICU/CCU, Operating Room, Electroencephalography (EEG), Electrocardiography (EKG), and X-Ray. He has also worked as an emergency room supervisor and psychiatric nursing supervisor.

While assigned as the Senior Hospital Corpsman for the Neuropsychiatric Service at U.S. Naval Hospital, Guam, he also served as a technical consultant to Government of Guam's Department of Health, where he participated in the design, implementation, and initial staff training for the first civilian neuropsychiatric facility and electroencephalograph laboratory between Hawaii and the Philippines (at Guam Memorial Hospital) and helped design all new standardized psychological tests for the implementation of Guam's Project Head Start.

As a technical consultant to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) at the National Institute of Neurological Disease and Blindness (now known as the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke) Research Center in Agaña, Guam, he participated in the some of the very earliest research into amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or Lou Gehrig's Disease.

He has been in pastoral ministry since 1979, and served as Administrator and Registrar of Grace School of Theology and Ministry, and as Academic Dean and Professor of Theology and Comparative Religion at Golden State School of Theology.

He has been teaching the Bible for over 50 years and is presently the Pastor/Teacher of Messianic Ministry Bnei HaMelech in Parkersburg, WV.
